Platform integration

Integrate PayShare once, then connect each merchant so they can offer Split with others inside your existing checkout.

  1. Your platform

    You integrate PayShare once

  2. Merchant

Connects PayShare on their own Stripe account

  3. Your checkout

Split with others appears beside Pay now

  4. PayShare

    Runs the group session

  5. Merchant’s Stripe

Each share is charged and captured here

  6. Your platform

You complete the booking from Stripe

Responsibilities

Your platform

  • Booking or order creation
  • Pricing
  • Inventory
  • Customer checkout
  • Fulfilment
  • Deciding when an order is complete

PayShare

  • Group payment session
  • Participant joining
  • Individual shares
  • Payment status
  • Session completion
  • The result you read from Stripe

PayShare does not replace your booking system, and it does not inject itself into your checkout.

Implementation flow

  1. Set up the platform

Install PayShare on your company’s Stripe account, choose “I operate a platform”, and name it. Platform setup

  2. Store the platform credentials on your server

Platform ID and platform key (ps_conn_…). Send a signed verify request, then confirm setup in PayShare. Your platform credentials

  3. Let a merchant connect

They install PayShare on the Stripe account you charge, choose “A platform manages my checkout”, and pick your platform. Merchant connection

  4. Link that merchant to your platform

They enter a one-time code in your PayShare setting. Your server redeems it, then reports whether PayShare is on for that property.

  5. Add Split with others to checkout

Show it beside Pay now only when that property is connected and enabled. Checkout

  6. Start the PayShare session

Your server creates a Stripe order proof on the merchant’s account, then starts the session with that same account.

  7. Complete the booking from Stripe

Mark the order complete when succeeded shares cover the total. The browser return is display only. Completion

  8. Test the whole path

Use Stripe test mode, including a session that does not finish. Testing

Keys and codes

These are different values. They are not interchangeable.

Platform key

  • Belongs to your platform. It starts with ps_conn_.
  • Stays on your server. It signs every request.
  • Merchants never receive it.

Merchant connection code

  • Belongs to one merchant connection. Format PS-CONNECT-XXXX-XXXX.
  • Used once, and it expires after 30 minutes.
  • It only links that property. It is not a credential for your server.
