For merchants

Turn group interest into confirmed bookings.

Give groups a checkout option where each participant pays upfront, while you keep the booking system, payment provider, and normal Pay now journey you already use.

Group bookings often die at payment.

A group can agree on the room, activity, court, event, or shared order and still stop at checkout because the payment responsibility falls onto one person.

The result can be delayed deposits, unpaid holds, support messages, and group demand that never becomes a confirmed sale.

Add a group path beside your normal checkout.

Install PayShare from the Stripe App Marketplace. If you control your checkout, add Split with others beside Pay now and follow the setup steps inside the PayShare Stripe App. If a booking or commerce platform controls your checkout, that platform must support PayShare. Individual customers can still pay normally.

  1. 01

    Start the session

The customer selects Split with others from your checkout. Your system creates the group session with a success return URL so the organiser comes back to your confirmation page.

  2. 02

    Invite the group

The organiser shares one browser link or QR code. Participants join without installing an app.

  3. 03

    Track real payment progress

Each participant completes their own payment while the group and merchant can see the session progress.

  4. 04

    Confirm from Stripe

Each share is a payment on your Stripe account carrying your order reference. Your system confirms the booking or order once the shares cover the total — not from a browser redirect.

What changes for the merchant.

Give high-value groups a path to complete

Capture customers who are willing to book but unwilling to place the entire amount on one card.

Know who has actually committed

Each participant completes a real payment step instead of simply agreeing in a group chat.

Reduce payment coordination outside checkout

The organiser shares one session instead of collecting account numbers, transfers, screenshots, and reminders.

Keep the systems you already use

Retain your booking platform, payment provider, settlement process, and normal Pay now journey. Refunds run from PayShare in your Stripe Dashboard. PayShare does not hold pooled balances; you confirm from the payments on Stripe.

Simple fees

PayShare charges 1% on completed Split payments, capped at NZD $100 equivalent per session. Stripe processing fees apply separately.
